The regional startup ecosystem in the United Arab Emirates has been on a growth mission for quite a few years now. Amongst all the investment deals that happened in 2019 and amounted to $471 million across the MENA region, the UAE was responsible for 26% of them.
While the UAE puts a lot of investment effort into their local ecosystem, for many companies, Dubai has become the key gateway to the Middle East.
We believe in the outstanding potential of the local startup community. That’s why we made a decision to become one of the software companies in Dubai, by opening our 2nd office at Palm Jumeirah.
The time difference between Wrocław and Dubai is only 2-3 hours based on the daylight saving time, which allows us to work with our partners without any specific adjustments to our working hours. The internationality of both Poland and UAE businesses makes communication easy due to well-spread usage of the English language.
Our C-level management regularly travels to Dubai, so if there’s any need for an “on-site” meeting, we just schedule it ahead of time. We’ve also been part of the largest Dubai expos like IoTX and GITEX, where we had a chance to talk to local startups and tech enthusiasts who visited our booths.
